The Feast of Corpus Christi
One of the worst things that could possibly happen with a human being is to forget the deeds of the Lord in his/her life. Moses warns the Israelites not to be proud of heart and forget the God who did mighty works to deliver them our of slavery and guided, protected, gave them water to drink, and fed them in the desert. Food is one of the basic needs without which fine suits and the fastest iPad are of no prolonged use. God fed them on the journey, prefiguring the Eucharist which is our food for the way, and without which we spiritually wither.
