About Jumuyias
St Augustine is the patron saint of the St Augustine Small Christian Community that is based in Nairobi West. The group meets every Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. at a member’s house for sharing the word. They also have various activities such as retreats, charitable activities, and social activities that help in the spiritual growth of the members. Membership to the group is open to parishioners residing in Nairobi West and its environs and all others who are interested.
BIOGRAPHY OF OUR PATRON SAINT
St. Augustine of Hippo is the son of St. Monica through whose prayers, Augustine converted to Christianity and later rose to become a bishop and one of the greatest saints that ever lived. His famous quote is “Our hearts were made for you, O Lord, and they are restless until they rest in you.”

Breathe in me O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. ... Draw my heart O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy. Strengthen me O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy. Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.
